Sebastian D’Brillio-Fitzmaurice’s photographic work explores the history of Southampton’s housing, especially in The Polygon and focuses on the skyline of the housing area. Fitzmaurice wanted the viewers to focus on something that they perhaps don’t usually notice in detail. He created cyanotypes to pay homage to a process that is becoming rare due to the industry being digitalised and one that has been used for creating architectural blueprints in the past.
