A Walk Through Time

My work is about multiculturalism and how society has changed the way we show our beliefs over time. I photographed modern day churches and community centres to compare them to the form of places of worship that were built many years ago. My photographs look into how society can change over the years and the smaller, simple-looking, almost disguised churches I found, show that perhaps religion may not be as big of a topic now than it was in previous times or eras. I noticed these new churches were made to blend in with the residential areas around them and they had big signs and posters on their walls encouraging people to join their community, however what was interesting was the bigger, older churches never showed any signs of trying to blend in or needing posters and banners, they just had their own grounds and their own impression.
